The UK’s home office is going to conduct a year-long engagement programme across the UK, planning to introduce a new skill-based immigration system from 2021. Home Secretary Sajid Javid met with local business leaders in Aberdeen in 3rd May for seeking approach about this plan. Representatives from the Scottish Fishermen’s Federation, Aberdeen City and Shire Hotels Association, VisitAberdeenshire, Chrysaor, Thistle Seafoods and other organisations presented in the meeting on that day. Home Secretary Sajid Javid wants UK’s future immigration system to work with the best interests in the whole of the UK. Moreover, he pronounced, this system will focus on the best migrants to Scotland and the rest of the UK so that British people get benefits. Scottish employers are playing as a key role to fulfil this plan he added.
