Brexit investments - How will Brexit impact investments?

Brexit will impact everyone in the UK as well as investors and we look at the impact this will have to the current economy. 

31st December 2020 will be remembered for a long time due to the period of the EU membership will end. MP’s are being recalled to return to the House of Commons on the 30th of December 2020, to finalise the EU agreement. 

The voice from Scotland, Nicola Sturgeon, is against the UK breakage from the EU. She has stated and confirmed today that Scotland is against this and have voted to stay in the EU. We will see a change in their direction soon. 

In short, Brexit will have an impact and we believe the UK Government or Westminster will always work in our best interest. It was a deal that was going to happen and given the strong relationship with the EU, the UK is still in a good position. I believe Scotland Government and its people should stop worrying, as we open the UK to door of opportunities. The UK will be able to cut down in red tape, move into an environment where they push policies and negotiate deals without the worry of hoping to convince the EU members. 

Let us take the example of the covid vaccine, the UK was the first nation to accept and approve the vaccine. The rest of the world was slow; including the EU members were screaming at the UK but after weeks, have approved the vaccine & have delayed in delivering it. 

This now turns us to the financial markets and following the Brexit announcement, London’s main index ended today session 6 points higher at 6,502, while sterling trimmed some gains and rose only 0.66% to US$1.3587.

Important news in the financial market, International Business Machines Corp have agreed to pay US$24.25mln to resolve two investigations by the US Federal Communications Commission.
